About the National Association of Home Builders

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is an organization dedicated to the American Dream of housing opportunities for all, as well as to the professional success of those who build communities. Each year, NAHB members construct roughly 80 percent of new homes built in the United States.

With over 700 state and local associations and more than 140,000 members in home building, remodeling and related specialties, NAHB is the voice of America’s housing industry. NAHB ensures that accessible, safe and affordable housing is a national priority by serving members’ business needs and starting campaigns for laws and regulations that protect homeowners.

NAHB has many affiliate organizations as well, including Home Innovation Research Labs, which develop, test and evaluate new materials and equipment to improve the affordability of American housing. The workforce-development arm, HBI, provides education and job training for individuals in the building industry. The National Housing Endowment is the philanthropic arm of the organization, which is dedicated to helping the housing industry develop more effective approaches to home building, enhance training opportunities and increase the knowledge of the workforce.

NAHB is also a founding partner and member of the International Housing Association, which works to improve home building all over the world through educational and entrepreneurial opportunities.

International Builders’ Show 2019

Hosted by NAHB, a nationally recognized trade association that promotes policies that make housing a national priority, the International Builders’ Show is America’s largest annual residential housing construction trade event. This event not only attracts supplies of construction products and services, as well as tradesmen in the industry, but it also offers the world’s largest market of residential building materials. In fact, the International Builders’ Show achieved almost $350 billion in annual construction expenditures in the past.

The show consists of over 53,000 square meters of exhibitor space that features over 1,500 of the top companies in the industries. Roughly a third of these exhibitors are international as well, bringing in innovations and achievements from 30 different countries across the world.

Maximize Your Trade Show Exhibit

Trade shows are jam-packed events that are filled with opportunities for industry networking, generating leads, making sales and building connections. IBS is no different, but all the educational and entertainment possibilities make it even more difficult to maximize your experience and get all you can out of your exhibit.

No matter what your goal is for the show, such as increasing conversions, driving leads or increasing your brand awareness, be sure to clearly define them before the show. Trade shows are on a fast track, so you’ll need to be clear with yourself and your team about what goals are realistic, achievable and appropriate for the venue.

Time management is of utmost importance at an event like this as well. Whether you want to stay with your booth and talk to as many prospects as possible, or balance your time between educational sessions, booth marketing and networking with colleagues at a nightclub, making a schedule will ensure you give yourself the appropriate amount of time for all you want to accomplish.

You can also extend the time your trade show experience works for you by taking diligent notes before, during and immediately following the event. Photos, videos, interviews, quotes, testimonials and other media from the event will help you create impressive post-show content that informs your current followers and draws in new customers.
